This Monday, August 5, 2024, as part of the 5th edition of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean States (CONCACAF) U-15 Women's Championship, our young Grenadières who are in Costa Rica (host country) who faced Costa Rica in the opening match of Group A (League A), made a disappointing entry into the championship in every way. The Costa Ricans humiliated and crushed them [9-0] (Goals : Emma Azofeifa, Lucia Paniagua x2, Verónica Solano, Marion García, Nubia Medina x2, Sofía Osorio, Michelle Murillo)

Our young Grenadières very weak in defense, ineffective in attack, an inadequate strategy and lacking motivation, have only suffered the assaults of the largely dominant Costa Ricans.

In the first half, our young Grenadières conceded 2 goals in the 7th minute of play. At halftime, Costa Rica was leading [3-0]

In the second half, the situation got worse for our Grenadières, Vanessa Toussaint was sent off after receiving a red card. Outnumbered, Costa Rica increased its lead by easily scoring 6 new goals [9-0].

Group A standings :

#1 USA : 3 points, 11 goals

#2 Costa Rica : 3 points, 9 goals

#3 Haiti : 0 points, -9

#4 Jamaica : 0 points, -11
